Here are our reading books for the week. 

If you would like to do further reading with your child, use the Oxford Owls website and select another book. There's lots to choose from!

Please read them twice - once for decoding the words and once to build fluency. 

Reading at home

Videos to support English and Maths

We have moved our videos of lessons to support English and Maths to the app Stream. You can access this through Teams using your child's personal login and then selecting the All Year 2 Team. When in the All Year 2 Team select the Year 2 English or Year 2 Maths tabs from across the top. You may need to click more. You can then select the video for that day and press play. We thank you for all your continued support. Please get in touch with a member of the Year 2 team with any questions or queries you have.

  • What is an amphibian? Check your knowledge on the animal class amphibian by watching the videos and doing the quiz, we will be doing the quiz together in the lesson.
  • What are reptiles? Recap your knowledge of reptiles we will be looking at the quiz together in the lesson
  • What are fish? Recap your knowledge of fish we will be looking at the quiz together in the lesson

Science- What am I riddles.

Recap your knowledge of animal classification and guess the animals that have been described. Then write your own riddle for us to guess.
Wednesday 20th January
Today we will be completing our RE learning. We will be learning about Jesus' friends this half term so we would like you to make a friendship flower stating the qualities of a good friend.
