Summer 2 - The Three Little Pigs

The Three Little Pigs

At the start of the half term, we shared the story of The Three Little Pigs and retold it using our character voices for the squeaky little pigs and the growling big bad wolf.  We role played and acted out the story throughout the two weeks and built houses for the pigs using different materials around our nursery and outside. For our star challenges, we painted a pigs face and made play dough pigs following the photo instructions so that we remembered all of their features. At the creative table, we traced around pig shapes and coloured them in. We made and decorated pig face biscuits too which were very yummy!

In Maths, we continued our learning around numbers up to 5 and what they are composed of, for example, knowing that 5 is made up of 3 and 2 or 4 and 1. Our rhyme of the week was Miss Polly had a Dolly. You can click this link to hear the song and have a go at singing at home together!
