  • Coronavirus Update

    Wed 04 Mar 2020
We would like to reassure parents and carers that we are following the UK Government advice and keeping up to date with all relevant information regarding the Coronavirus. We have placed posters around school and are encouraging, and talking about good hygiene with regards to hand washing with all children. We ask that you could also support us in this matter by talking to your children about regular hand washing before cooking and eating, and after using the toilet, especially the importance of using soap and water. Parents and carers can visit NHS.UK to find out more information.
  • Share a Million Stories

    Mon 02 Mar 2020
To celebrate World Book Day , we will be taking part in the national ‘Share a million stories’ event. Schools and libraries across the country are taking part to encourage all young people to read, read, read! At our school, we will be having a month of reading. This will be for 4 weeks from Monday 2nd March until Friday 27th March. During this time, we are asking you to share a story together, have a bedtime story, read together at home or encourage your child to read for ten minutes every day. We will be keeping a running total of how much reading Priestsic School is doing. We will be counting in school too. We will be counting up our story times, assembly stories and our reading activities in class. Our target is to reach 10,000 story shares by Friday 27th March. Keep a look out for the Share-O-Meter to see if we reach our whole school target!
