Hello my name is Amanda Cooper and I am the Family Support Worker at Priestsic Primary and Nursery School, with responsibility   for safeguarding children and families within the school community.

I have worked in the local area for many years so you may already know me from when I worked within  Ashfield Chldren's Centres prior to starting my role here  at Priestsic Primary and Nursery School in September 2021.

My role in school is to work with you to help make home and school life a little easier. I am able to support you with behaviour management; in  developing morning and bedtime routines and I also support families where a child may have  attendance and punctuality issues.

I can also support you in  accessing information from the community and signposting you to other agencies that could support  you and your family.

All support and advice is confidential, in line with the school's policies and procedures. Although I do not have all the answers, I can assist and support you to find a solution.

Sometimes parents/carers just need someone to talk to. Parenting is a challenging role and can often be stressful and  I am here to help.

You will find me on the school playground at the start  and end of  the school day.
